Roughcast, also known as pebbledash or harling, is a plaster surface used on the exterior of homes to provide outstanding moisture protection. It combines gravel, sand, shells, and even pebbles (along with lime and cement) to produce a rough but strong line of defence. It’s kind of in the name.

But despite its strength and endurance, even roughcast needs regular maintenance and repair. Damaged roughcast can eventually lead to leaks, exposed structures, mould, and further repairs that are significantly more expensive.
